Sabina & Ursula Eriksson - twin sisters who ran into motorway traffic multiple times before one of them stabbed a helpful stranger.

This is such a frustrating case! I remember watching the original ‘Motorway Cops’ episode and being perplexed and intrigued about the sisters. It’s one of the most bizarre real-life events I have ever heard of in such detail.

In some respects I’m glad the BBC made this programme to explain more about what happened but it really has thrown up more questions. I am especially peeved that they didn’t say more about Ursula. If it was her who was the mentally ill one and her twin sister was, to simplify it, copying her behaviour then shouldn’t she be getting major help? All we know is she went back to Sweden and eventually moved to the US again.

As for Sabina being released on parole next year - well, I’m fucking scared. It may have only been “a puff of madness” but who’s to say it won’t happen again? I think they’re a major risk to themselves, the public and the reputation of the British police force & criminal justice system. They need to be monitored closely.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about watch the programme while it’s still on iPlayer - it’s mind boggling.
